Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
La Rosaleda will host the opening fixture of the Primera Division Round 23. After back-to back defeats against Barcelona (2-1) and Sevilla (2-1), Malaga managed to record an important triumph last weekend against Eibar (2-1), which most certainly boosted the team’s morale. Los Boquerones are on a nine-game undefeated streak against Getafe on home ground (W7 D2) and will hope for the continuation of the positive run. Los Armeros are performing below par on their travels this term, they boast a 1-2-7 record when playing away from home, with a disappointing goal difference 9:24. If we add the fact that Fran Escribá’s charges are waiting for their first win in Malaga since April 2006, one could honestly say that it would take a miracle for them not to come away empty-handed once again. Javi Gracia’s side are keeping things tight in the back on home ground this season, with less than one conceded goal per game and I believe they are more than capable of stopping Getafe’s toothless attack. A close encounter is expected, but we believe that the points will stay at La Rosaleda.
