Our football match prediction:
Barcelona will be aiming to start a new winning run in La Liga when they face Osasuna at Estadio el Sadar on Saturday. The Catalan giants failed to emerge triumphant in previous three league fixtures, but it has to be noted that they were more than unfortunate not to beat Real Madrid in “El Clasico” at the weekend. Barca are still six points behind los Blancos in the La Liga standings, meaning that this has to go down as a must-win game for the visitors. Their next rivals Osasuna are on a four-match losing run in the league and they head into Saturday’s football match following a 3-1 loss to Granada in the relegation six-pointer. David faces Goliath at “El Sadar” and we predict that Luis Enrique’s men will return to winning ways on Matchday 15. Leo Messi scored in a 4-0 win over Borussia M’gladbach in midweek and he is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
Highlighted Player (Miguel Flano):
Miguel Flano is a centre back who plays for La Liga side Osasuna. Flano was born in Pamplona on 19 August, 1984 and he is a product of Osasuna’s youth academy. The defender made 70 appearances for Osasuna B and he made his debut for the first team on 18 September, 2004, in a 3-2 win over Real Betis. Miguel Flano played for Spain U16, U17, U19 and U23 team in the past, but he has yet to make his debut for the first team. The Spanish footballer scored his first professional goal in a 5-0 win over Real Betis on 9 June, 2007. Flano extended his contract with Osasuna on 7 June 2012 and the contract expires in 2017. It has to be noted that he won the 2005 Mediterranean Games with Spain and the 2001 European Championship with Spain U16. His twin brother Javier is a footballer as well. Miguel Flano wears number 4 on his shirt.
Highlighted Team (Barcelona):
Barcelona are a Spanish football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia. Barca were founded in 1899 and they are regarded as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Catalan giants won their 24th La Liga title in 2016, with Luis Suarez winning “El Pichichi” award. Barcelona have won five European Cup trophies and a number of top-class players were part of the team in the past. The likes of Hristo Stoichkov, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona and Pep Guardiola are some of many players that played for Barca in the past, but, no doubt, Leo Messi has established himself as the club’s trademark. Barcelona welcome their rivals at Camp Nou, the stadium that was built in 1957. Barcelona’s local rivals are Espanyol, but the rivalry between Barca and Real Madrid is much bigger. The two La Liga giants face each other in “El Clasico”, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Barca are famous for their football youth school La Masia as well.
