Our football match prediction:
Osasuna suffered yet another disappointing defeat in La Liga. Los Rojillos were beaten by Espanyol (0-3) in Catalonia at the weekend and, as things stand now, the Estadio El Sadar outfit will be competing in the Spanish second tier next season. The rock-bottom team are low on confidence ahead of the visit of Villarreal, but seeing that the Yellow Submarine head into Wednesday’s football match with a severely-weakened squad, we predict that the hosts will grab something from the game. Anyhow, Osasuna are likely to fight tooth and nail against Villarreal as they are nine points behind the “safe zone” in the La Liga standings. Fran Escriba’s men dropped a two-goal advantage in Sunday’s derby against Real Madrid and considering that their displays on the road leave a lot to be desired, we believe that the relegation-threatened hosts will pick up one point from Wednesday’s clash.
Highligted Player (Mario Fernandez):
Mario Fernandez is a Spanish goalkeeper who plays for Osasuna. He started his youth career in his home-town club Racing Santander and he continued playing for the club at the start of his senior career. Racing Santander defeated Alcorcon 3-2 in Copa del Rey back then and he played in the return leg as well (0-0). On 4 August, 2015 Fernandez joined Osasuna, but he failed to establish himself as a first-choice goalkeeper for the El Sadar outfit in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign. Mario Fernandez has three caps for Spain U19, but he has yet to make his debut for the first team. Fernandez is a 184-cm-tall goalkeeper and he wears number 1 on his shirt.
