Our football match prediction:
High-flying Barcelona will be aiming to cement top position in La Liga standings with a win over Rayo Vallecano in the suburbs of Madrid. The Catalan giants recorded a come-from-behind victory over Sevilla at the weekend, with the team extending their winning run in the national championship to nine games. Luis Enrique’s men are 12 points clear of their fiercest rivals Real Madrid ahead of the trip to the Spanish capital and they want to get their job done in La Liga as soon as possible. Los Vallecanos have been scoring goals for fun of late and given Barca’s attacking potential, we predict that the fans will see a real football festival at Estadio del Rayo Vallecano. It has to be noted that Barca demolished Rayo 5-2 in the reverse fixture. Taking everything into account, Luis Enrique’s troops are likely to emerge triumphant in a high-scoring game.
