Our football match prediction:
Having dropped a two-goal advantage in the Champions League draw (2-2) with Borussia Dortmund in midweek, Real Madrid will be aiming to return to winning ways when they welcome Deportivo La Coruna at their Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday evening. Thanks to the 1-1 draw with Barcelona in El Clasico los Blancos moved one step closer to winning the La Liga title, but they have yet to get their job done in the national championship. Zinedine Zidane is likely to warn his men against complacency and we predict that the capital club will take Saturday’s football match against Deportivo very seriously. The Galician outfit did remarkably well to crush Real Sociedad (5-1) on Monday, but Real Madrid are likely to pose a much bigger threat for Gaizka Garitano’s men than their previous rivals. Karim Benzema scored a brace against Borussia Dortmund, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay.
Highlighted Player (Marcelo):
Marcelo is a Brazilian football player who has always been compared with Robero Carlos. The pacey full back has a very powerful shoot and he often makes life difficult for opposition defenders. Marcelo was born in Rio de Janeiro on 12 May, 1988 and he played for Fluminense during his youth career. He made 30 league appearances for Flu and in 2007 he joined Real Madrid. The Brazilian ace made his Real Madrid debut against Deportivo La Coruna on 7 January, 2007, coming as a substitute in the second half of the match. He made his first start in a 2-1 loss to Racing de Santander. Marcelo won two Champions League trophies with los Blancos (2013/2014, 2015/2016), while clinching three La Liga titles (2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2011/2012). The Real Madrid full back represented Brazil at the 2008 Summer Olympics and he won the bronze medal with the Selecao. Four years later, the Brazilians won the silver medal at the Summer Olympics in London. Marcelo’s contract with Real Madrid expires on 30 June, 2020.
