Our football match prediction:
As expected, Real Madrid won the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, but the Spanish giants failed to impress in the title game against Kashima Antlers. Anyhow, Golden Ball award winner Cristiano Ronaldo helped los Blancos lift yet another trophy and the last season’s runners-up are surely brimming with confidence ahead of the visit of Granada. Real Madrid aim to cement top position in the La Liga standings and we predict that Zinedine Zidane’s troops will go all guns blazing at los Granadinos in Saturday’s football match. Gareth Bale remains in the recovery room, but duo Ronaldo – Benzema is likely to prove a handful for the opposition baclk-line. The Andalusian outfit sit in the relegation zone ahead of the trip to Madrid and considering that they failed to score in previous two league fixtures, the visitors are unlikely to spoil Real Madrid’s party at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Matchday 17.
Highligted Player (Ronaldo):
Cristiano Ronaldo is considered one of the world’s best football players. The Portuguese ace was born on 5 February, 1985 in Funchal, Madeira and he played for the likes of Andorinha, Nacional and Sporting during his youth career. CR7 made his Sporting debut in Primeira Liga on 7 October, 2002, scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Moreirense. Manchester United scouts spotted him and one year later he joined the Old Trafford outfit. Ronaldo became the most expensive teenager in the history of the Premier League and he received the number 7 shirt. He quickly established himself as the team’s key player and it has to be noted that he won three consecutive Premier League trophies with the Red Devils (2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009). In 2008 he helped the Old Trafford outfit beat Chelsea in the Champions League final, scoring for Alex Ferguson’s troops in the regular time. Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 and he helped the Spanish giants with two Champions League trophies. In 2016 he won the European Championship trophy with Portugal. The Real Madrid ace has two Golden Ball awards (2013, 2014).
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit. Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well. The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
