Our match prediction:
Ronaldo-less Real Madrid did well to beat Espanyol on day 5 of the new La Liga campaign. Gareth Bale missed the match as well, but the last season’s runners-up produced a fine display against lost Periquitos and they totally deserved to pick up all three points from the match. Cristiano Ronaldo should recover in time to face Villarreal in Wednesday’s football match and there is every chance los Blancos will keep their 100% record intact. Over the years Real Madrid have turned their Estadio Santiago Bernabeu into a real fortress and seeing that Villarreal struggle on the travels, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. The Yellow Submarine are on a three-game winning run in all competitions, but they will have a big fish to fry on Matchday 5. When the two teams met at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu earlier in 2016 Real Madrid recorded a routine 3-0 win over Villarreal.
