Our football match prediction:
Buoyed by a thrilling 3-0 win over Malaga, Eibar take on Real Sociedad at Estadio Municipal de Anoeta on Matchday 25. The two teams face each other in a small Basque derby and we predict that both sides will leave their hearts on the field. Los Armeros have been impressive on home soil this term, but they recorded only three wins on the road and that is the main reason why away win should not be considered. La Real aim to build on a hard-fought win over Las Palmas and seeing that a win over Eibar would see them regain their place in top four in the La Liga standings, there is every chance the hosts will pick up all three points from Tuesday’s football match. Key attacker Willian Jose misses the match with injury, but Mexico international Carlos Vela is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line.
Highlighted Player (Xabi Prieto):
Xabi Prieto was born in San Sebastian and he plays for his home-town club Real Sociedad. He is a product of Real Sociedad’s youth school and there is every chance he will end his career at Anoeta. He played probably the best match of his career against Real Madrid on 23 May, 2004 as he scored a brace for the Basques in a 4-1 win over los Blancos. Prieto impressed in the 2012/2013 La Liga campaign as he scored nine goals for Real Sociedad in 35 league appearances for the club. He has five caps for Spain U21 team, but he has yet to make his debut for the first team. Xabi Prieto plays as a midfielder and he wears number 10 on his shirt.
