Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Real Sociedad and Girona face each other at Estadio Municipal de Anoeta in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Monday’s program. Real Sociedad aim to build on a 3-1 victory over Athletic Club and they are definitely capable of beating the Catalan side in front of home fans. The win in the Basque derby gave La Real confidence boost, which is probably the main reason why we believe that they are going to give fans yet another reason for celebration on Monday evening. Girona, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems in a 3-2 loss to Eibar and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling La Real’s party at Estadio Municipal de Anoeta. A man to watch in the home team will be Mikel Oyarzabal, who scored a brace in the 3-1 triumph over the Lions on Matchday 8.

Highlighted Player (Asier Illarramendi):

Asier Illarramendi is a product of Real Sociedad’s youth school. He played for Real Sociedad B between 2008 and 2011, scoring 7 goals in 93 appearances for the Basque outfit and he made his first team debut on 23 January, 2011 in a 2-1 defeat to Villarreal. After impressing with Real Sociedad in the 2012/2013 Primera Division campaign, Real Madrid chiefs decided to sign him on 12 July, 2013 for a fee of €32.2 million. Back then that was the highest amount paid by the club for a Spanish footballer, but he failed to impress at Real Madrid.
After spending two seasons at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Asier Illarramendi returns to Real Sociedad on 26 August, 2015 and he has been playing for the Anoeta outfit ever since. Asier Illarramendi scored one goal in 33 appearances for La Real in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign.
The talented midfielder has 16 caps for Spain U21 and it has to be noted that he represented La Furia Roja at the 2013 UEFA European Championship.
Highlighted Team (Girona):

After several unsuccessful attempts, finally secured promotion to Primera Division at the end of the 2016/2017 season. The Catalan outfit finished the campaign in second place in the standings, 14 points behind Levante and only two clear of third-placed Getafe. Girona play their home games at Montilivi and the capacity of the venue is 9.286.
Speaking of the club history, Girona were founded in the café Norat in La Rambla of Girona on July 23, 1930 and they played their first official game against Colonia Artigas. A number of Spanish coaches were in charge of the team in the past, but it has to be noted that Uruguayan tactician Dagoberto Moll (1965/1966) and Karoly Plattko (1948/1949) of Hungary were in charge of the club as well.
The Catalan team wear white shirts with red stripes when playing at home, while the colour of their shorts is blue. The team’s away kits are blue and black and Sporting Gijon are considered one of Girona’s fiercest rivals.
