Our football match prediction:
Real Madrid kicked off the new La Liga campaign with a 3-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna, but, against all odds, they dropped four points in back-to-back draws against the likes of Valencia and Levante. Coach Zinedine Zidane rested key players in the 1-1 draw with los Levantinos at the weekend and suspended ace Cristiano Ronaldo was sorely missed in previous two league fixtures. CR7 has yet to serve his ban, but the likes of Luka Modric and Casemiro should be recalled to the starting line-up. Karim Benzema suffered a serious injury against Levante, meaning that Gareth Bale is going to lead the line for the capital club against Real Sociedad. The Basque outfit aim to keep their 100% record in the 2017/2018 La Liga campaign intact and seeing that Real Madrid head into Sunday’s football match with a severely-weakened squad, we predict that the hosts are going to grab something from the game.
Highlighted Player (Illarramendi):
Asier Illarramendi is a product of Real Sociedad’s youth school. He played for Real Sociedad B between 2008 and 2011, scoring 7 goals in 93 appearances for the Basque outfit and he made his first team debut on 23 January, 2011 in a 2-1 defeat to Villarreal. After impressing with Real Sociedad in the 2012/2013 Primera Division campaign, Real Madrid chiefs decided to sign him on 12 July, 2013 for a fee of €32.2 million. Back then that was the highest amount paid by the club for a Spanish footballer, but he failed to impress at Real Madrid. After spending two seasons at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Asier Illarramendi returns to Real Sociedad on 26 August, 2015 and he has been playing for the Anoeta outfit ever since. Asier Illarramendi scored one goal in 33 appearances for La Real in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign. The talented midfielder has 16 caps for Spain U21 and it has to be noted that he represented La Furia Roja at the 2013 UEFA European Championship.
Highlighted Team (Real Madrid):
Real Madrid are a Spanish football club based in Madrid. Real Madrid participate in La Liga (Primera Division) and they have won 32 domestic titles. On the other hand, los Blancos have won 11 European Cup titles and that is the main reason why they are considered the biggest football club in the world. Real Madrid play their home matches at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the capacity of the stadium is 84,454. Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s most successful footballer in the 21st century and the Portuguese superstar has won two Golden Ball awards. The likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, David Beckham and Iker Casillas are star players who were part of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the past. Real Madrid’s bitterest rivals are Barcelona, but the rivalry between local rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is big as well. Real Madrid’s home kit is white and, as a result, the team’s nickname is los Blancos (the Whites).
