Our football match prediction:
Following back-to-back wins over the likes of Osasuna and Espanyol Real Sociedad will be aiming to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Villarreal at their Estadio Municipal de Anoeta on Matchday 23. The Basques have been producing outstanding performances in the elite divison this season and they are definitely capable of beating Villarreal, who do not seem to be on top of their game at the moment. The Yellow Submarine were more than fortunate to pick up one point from Sunday’s football game against Malaga as they score the equalizing goal from a controversial penalty. Villarreal have been struggling to find their best form in 2017 and seeing that the hosts are high on confidence ahead of Sunday’s clash, we predict that the visitors will return home empty-handed. Carlos Vela found the net in the victory over Espanyol, meaning that the opposition defenders should have the Mexican attacker at bay.
Highligted Player (Diego Reyes):
Diego Antonio Reyes is a young 23-year-old Mexico centre back who plays for Spanish club Real Sociedad on loan from Porto. The defender has often been described as intelligent in his positioning and strong in the air. He is considered to be a natural ball-playing defender who is comfortable in possession. Although he is primarily a defender, Reyes has played as a defensive midfielder too. He made his professional debut with Club America in 2010 starting as a midfielder but quickly moving into his more naturally suited central defender role. He was quickly snapped up by Porto in 2013 although his playing time at the Portuguese club was limited. Reyes has played for Mexico at various national youth team levels including the gold-medal winning under-23 squad at the 2012 London Olympics. He was called up to the senior team in 2011 and has already participated in Confederations Cup and FIFA World Cup.
