Our football match prediction:
Sevilla and Granada face each other in the Andalusian derby at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Los Sevillanos played out a goalless draw with Valencia at Estadio de Mestalla at the weekend and they now aim to return to winning ways in La Liga. Jorge Sampaoli’s troops are on the right track to finish the season in top four, but the team’s main goal is to secure automatic qualification for the Champions League group stages. Sevilla are a real force to be reckoned with at home and seeing that Granada experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Celta Vigo at the weekend, we predict that the hosts will pick up all three points from Friday’s football game. Los Granadinos do not seem to be on top of their game at the moment and it has to be noted that they suffered six defeats in last seven league fixtures.
Highlighted Player (Nasri):
Samir Nasri is a French footballer who plays for Manchester City. The former Arsenal man used to play for Marseille in the past and he began his youth career at Pennes Mirabeau in 1995. Nasri is an attacking midfielder, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well. The France international was born on 26 June, 1987 in Septemes-les-Vallons, the suburbs of Marseille. He is 175 cm tall and it has to be noted that his parents are Algerian. Samir Nasri has won two Premier League trophies with Manchester City, but he was not as successful during his spell with Arsenal. It is well known that Arsenal fans were angry with Nasri when he signed a four-year contract with Manchester City in 2011. The transfer fee was in the region of £25 million. The French footballer has 41 caps for the national team, but he retired from international football on 9 August, 2014.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit. Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well. The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
