Our football match prediction:
Real Madrid were on the verge of beating Atletico Madrid at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the Madrid derby, but los Rojiblancos eventually scored a late equalizer. However, seeing that Barcelona dropped three points in a 2-0 loss to Malaga at the weekend, los Blancos moved one step closer to regaining the La Liga trophy. Zinedine Zidane’s men are three points clear of Barcelona in the standings and it is well known that the capital club have one game in hand. Real Madrid aim to cement top position in the table and they are likely to go for a win in Saturday’s football match against Sporting Gijon. Rubi’s men are having a season to forget and they sit in the relegation zone ahead of Matchday 32. Real Madrid are after their third straight win over Sporting Gijon and, taking everything into account, we predict that the league leaders will win the Estadio Municipal El Molinon clash.
Highligted Player (Nacho Cases):
After making 71 appearances for Sporting B between 2005 and 2011, Nacho Cases started playing for the first team on 9 January 2011, making his debut in a 1-1 draw with Racing Santander. The Spanish footballer plays as a midfielder and he was born on 22 December, 1987 in Gijon. He played probably the best match of his career against Real Madrid at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on 2 April, 2011 as he provided an assist for Miguel de las Cuevas, who scored the winner ten minutes before the end (1-0). Nacho Cases used to play for the like of Codema and Revillagigedo during his youth career, but he played for his current club as a boy as well. Cases was with his family in Paris during terror attacks in November 2011 and the Spanish embassy helped him return to his homeland. The midfielder scored one goal in 24 league appearances for Sporting Gijon in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign.
Highlighted Team (Real Madrid):
Real Madrid are a Spanish football club based in Madrid. Real Madrid participate in La Liga (Primera Division) and they have won 32 domestic titles. On the other hand, los Blancos have won 11 European Cup titles and that is the main reason why they are considered the biggest football club in the world. Real Madrid play their home matches at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the capacity of the stadium is 84,454. Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s most successful footballer in the 21st century and the Portuguese superstar has won two Golden Ball awards. The likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, David Beckham and Iker Casillas are star players who were part of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the past. Real Madrid’s bitterest rivals are Barcelona, but the rivalry between local rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is big as well. Real Madrid’s home kit is white and, as a result, the team’s nickname is los Blancos (the Whites).
