Our football match prediction:
Valencia suffered yet another disappointing defeat in La Liga, with the team losing to Celta Vigo at Estadio de Balaidos in their last league game. Los Che have been dropping down the standings week by week and they are only one point clear of the relegation zone ahead of the visit of Granada. Valencia are desperate to return to winning ways in the national championship and we predict that the hosts will leave their hearts on the field in Sunday’s football match. Los Granadinos have yet to record a win in the 2016/2017 La Liga campaign and it is no surprise they are stuck at the bottom. Los Che will not have a better chance than this to start a new winning run in the Spanish elite division and, taking everything into account, home win should be considered this time out. In previous five meetings between the two teams in all competitions Valencia emerged triumphant.
Highligted Player (Ezequiel Garay):
Ezequiel Garay is an Argentine defender who plays for Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg. Garay was born on 10 October, 1986 in Rosario, Argentina and he began his senior career at his hometown club Newell’s Old Boys. After making 14 league appearances for the Argentine outfit, Garay moved to Spain in 2005, signing a deal with Racing Santander. Real Madrid scouts quickly spotted the Argentine defender and on 18 May, 2008 he joined the Spanish giants. Garay made 31 league appearances for Real Madrid and in 2011 he signed a contract with Benfica. He played for the Eagles from 2011 to 2014 and then he moved to Zenit Saint Petersburg. In the 2016 summer transfer window he returned to La Liga, signing a deal with Valencia. Speaking of his international career, Garay was part of Argentine U-20 team that won the FIFA World Cup in Netherlands. The Argentine footballer made his debut for the national team on 22 August, 2007 in a 2-1 loss to Norway.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit. Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well. The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
