Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Real Valladolid will be aiming to extend their winning run in La Liga to five games when they host Espanyol at their Estadio Municipal Jose Zorilla. La Pucela have been playing above expectations on their return to the Spanish top flight, but they need to keep on improving their game if they are to secure the survival. Real Valladolid did well to bear Real Betis in Seville in their last league match and they are definitely capable of matching Espanyol in front of home fans. Los Periquitos made a flying start to the season, with the team occupying second position in the La Liga standings ahead of Matchday 10. Espanyol are eyeing their third consecutive win in the Spanish top flight, but seeing that Real Valladolid have been in a splendid form of late, we believe that the two sides are going to play out a draw in Friday’s football game.

Highlighted Player (Óscar Plano):

A Madrid-born attacking midfielder, Oscar Plano was given a unique opportunity not many footballers get at the beginning of their fledgling careers. As a talented youngster making his first football steps with a local side of Mostoles, Oscar Plano was soon grabbed by mighty Real Madrid.
Having spent eight years going through youth setups of the La Liga heavyweights, Plano was given his competitive debut at Real Madrid C in 2010. A season later earned him a promotion to Real Madrid’s B setup where in three seasons in total he made 63 league appearances and scored 7 goals. Having become fully aware that a chance to represent one of the biggest clubs in the world might be unachievable, Oscar Plano moved to Alcoron in 2014.
More than a 100 matches in three years at Santo Domingo made him one of the key players for Los Alfareros. The Spanish midfielder made a great contribution with helping Valladolid secure promotion to Spanish top flight in 2017/18 with 44 La Liga 2 appearances and 6 goals.
Highlighted Team (Espanyol):

Espanyol are a Catalan club that plays in Spanish La Liga. Espanyol were founded in 1900 and their original name was Sociedad Espanola de Football. In 1901 the Catalan club changed its name to Club Espanol de Futbol. Los Periquitos used to play in bright yellow shirts in the past, but current colour of the team’s home kit is blue and white.
Espanyol’s fiercest rivals are Barcelona and the two teams face each other in the Catalan derby (Derbi barceloni). Espanyol have always been in Barca’s shadow, but it has to be noted that los Periquitos have won four Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup trophies).
The likes of Raul Tamudo, Jose Maria, Antonio Argiles and Mauricio Pochettino are players with most appearances for the Catalan outfit. Espanyol play their home games at Estadio Cornella-El Prat and the capacity of the stadium is 40,500. Los Periquitos have never participated in the Champions League.
