Our football match prediction:
Villarreal and Barcelona face each other at Estadio de la Ceramica in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Sunday’s program. The Yellow Submarine aim to make amends for back-to-back defeats to the likes of Sevilla and Leganes and a win over Barcelona would see them retain their spot in top six. Marcelino’s men obviously produce much better performances at home than on the travels and you should know that they are eyeing their fifth home win of the season. Cedric Bakambu has been in a splendid form of late, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay. The league leaders, on the other hand, dropped two points in a 2-2 with Celta Vigo at the weekend and, to make things even worse for the fans, defender Samuel Umtiti suffered a serious injury in the Camp Nou clash. Anyhow, the Catalan giants aim to retain top position in the La Liga standings and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Yellow Submarine. A high-scoring affair is on the cards, but we predict the visitors will pick up all three points from Sunday’s football match.
Highlighted Player (Cherychev):
Probably the most famous Russian footballer never to have played for a domestic club, Denis Cheryshev was born in Nizhny Novgorod, but began his career at Sporting Gijon as his father played for the Spanish side at the time. The talented winger eventually caught the eye of Real Madrid and went on to spend eight years in the youth academy at Santiago Bernabeu before he was given a chance to impress on senior level. Due to a fierce competition for places in Madrid, Cheryshev was forced to gain much needed first team experience via loan spells at Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia, and he showed a great deal of potential during those stints, proving los Blancos were wrong to let him leave. Chersyhev has been in and out of the Russia national team since making his debut in 2012, but there is a good chance he will become an important member of Sbornaya Komanda as soon as he secures regular playing time at club level. The Russian footballer is capable of operating on either wing or through the middle, and he has proved to be quite prolific in terms of both goals and assists.
Highlighted Team (Barcelona):
Barcelona are a Spanish football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia. Barca were founded in 1899 and they are regarded as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Catalan giants won their 24th La Liga title in 2016, with Luis Suarez winning “El Pichichi” award. Barcelona have won five European Cup trophies and a number of top-class players were part of the team in the past. The likes of Hristo Stoichkov, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona and Pep Guardiola are some of many players that played for Barca in the past, but, no doubt, Leo Messi has established himself as the club’s trademark. Barcelona welcome their rivals at Camp Nou, the stadium that was built in 1957. Barcelona’s local rivals are Espanyol, but the rivalry between Barca and Real Madrid is much bigger. The two La Liga giants face each other in “El Clasico”, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Barca are famous for their football youth school La Masia as well.
