Our football match prediction:
The Yellow Submarine has seemingly put the poor start to the new 2016-17 season behind them as Fran Escriba’s men showed quite an improvement to record back-to-back victories, which would have been a huge morale boost for Villarreal. Having missed their chance to take part in this year’s edition of the UEFA Champions League following the elimination at the hands of Monaco, Villarreal had to settle for a place in Europa League. The Yellow Submarine kicked off the European campaign with a 2-1 triumph over Zurich, coming from behind Zurich’s early lead thanks to first-half goals from Pato and dos Santos. Real Sociedad, on their own part, have endured mixed fortunes at the beginning of the new season, managing one win sandwiched in between a 3-0 defeat at Real Madrid and 1-1 draw against Espanyol. It is important to mention that four of the last five meetings between two sides ended in a draw and we are prone to predict a similar outcome this time.
