Our match prediction:
The likely third-place finish will be seen as a major success at Stadio Olimpico after Luciano Spalletti helped the team turn this season around, but the Giallorossi also stand a chance of finishing as runners up. They do need to beat Napoli for that to happen and then win all the remaining games, while hoping the Azzurri to slip-up, but while that is difficult to predict, stranger things have definitely happened. It was club icon Francesco Totti who proved the hero in the Torino clash, scoring a brace shortly after coming on as a late substitute to help the Giallorossi come from a goal behind and win 3-2, but that does not mean he is set to start against Napoli. The Azzurri have been pretty impressive in midweek themselves, hammering Bologna 6-0, but that was little comfort for away defeats to Udinese and Inter Milan that effectively ended their title bid. However, with Gonzalo Higuain finally available for selection, we expect to see a high-scoring encounter at Stadio Olimpico.

Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma are a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football. The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. “The Prince of Rome” made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
