Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Malaga will be looking to build on the Copa del Rey win over Coruxo when they host Logrones at their Estadio La Rosaleda. Los Boquerones suffered yet another dip in form, but it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways in La Liga 2. Malaga aim to move a little closer to the playoffs berth, and we are positive that they will go for a win in Sunday’s clash.
Logrones looked unstoppable in November, but they do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of the trip to Andalusia. The newcomers are on a five-game losing run in Segunda Division, and seeing that they failed to impress in the Copa del Rey defeat to Amorebieta, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts. Ivan Calero, who suffered a serious injury in the 3-1 loss to Almeria, is out of contention for los Boquerones.
Highlighted Player (David Lomban):

David Lomban was born in Aviles, Asturias on 5 June, 1987 and he began his senior career at Valencia. The 185-cm-tall defender played 37 matches for Valencia B and he made no more than three appearances for the first team. After spending the 2009/2010 season on loan at Salamanca, he joined Xerez in 2010 and two years later he signed for Barcelona B.
David Lomban played just one season for the Catalan outfit in Segunda Division and then he decided to take a bigger step towards a brighter future as he joined La Liga side Elche. After making 62 appearances for the club, he signed a three-year contract with Granada on 10 August, 2015. Lomban played 31 games for los Granadinos in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign, but he failed to find the net for the Andalusian outfit in the top flight.
David Lomban’s contract with Granada expires on 30 June, 2018. Speaking of his international career, the Granada defender has 11 caps for Spain U17 and he played one match for Spain U20 team as well.
Highlighted Team (Logrones):
UD Logrones is a Spanish football team that participates in Spanish Segunda Division. Union Deportiva Logrones were founded in 2009 following the extinction of CD Logrones, with the team competing in Segunda B until the 2019/20 season.
In 2020 UD Logrones secured promotion to Segunda division as they were sitting in top position in the standings when the season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The club is well known for their white shirts with red stripes, while blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. Union Deportiva Logrones play their home games at Las Gaunas, the venue with the capacity of 16,000 spectators.
UD Logrones take on Sporting Gijon on their debut in the Spanish second tier. It has to be noted that the club chiefs made a three-year collaboration with La Liga side Eibar, which saw their footballers going on loan to Logrones to gain some experience.
