Our football match prediction:
There will be fireworks when Roma and Juventus take on each other at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening. The Giallorossi outplayed Milan at Stadio San Siro at the weekend and thanks to the triumph they managed to keep their hopes of winning Scudetto alive. The Romans face a must-win situation against Juve and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the league leaders on Matchday 36. Luciano Spalletti’s troops were beaten by their local rivals Lazio in their last game at Stadio Olimpico and, no doubt, they are eager to give fans some cheer. The Bianconeri played out a 1-1 draw with Torino in the Turin derby at the weekend, but it has to be noted that coach Max Allegri did not field the best possible side against Sinisa Mihajlovic’s troops. Juve are one point away from the Serie A trophy and they we predict that they will grab something from Sunday’s football match in the “Eternal City”.
Highlighted Player (Mohamed Salah):
Mohamed Salah is considered one of the best African players. Salah began his senior career at El Mokawloon, scoring 11 goals in 41 league appearances for the club and in 2012 he moved to Europe, signing a four-year deal with Swiss side Basel. The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a striker as well was producing outstanding displays for the RotBlau from 2012 to 2014 and, as a result, Chelsea chiefs decided to sign him on 26 January, 2015 for a fee of £11 million. Mohamed Salah, though, failed to impress in the Premier League and one year later he was sent on loan to Fiorentina. After making 16 league appearances for the Viola in the Serie A, the left-footed winger signed a loan deal with Roma on 6 August, 2015. The Romans made the contract permanent on 3 August, 2016. Speaking of his international career, Salah made his Egypt debut on 3 September, 2011 in a 2-1 loss to Sierra Leone. It has to be noted that he was named Roma’s player of the season (2015/2016).
Highlighted Team (Juventus):
Juventus are considered one of the greatest European football clubs. The Bianconeri (The White and Blacks) have won two Champions League trophies (1985, 1996) and they did well to clinch three UEFA Cup titles (1977, 1990, 1993). The Italian giants have won 32 Serie A trophies and it is well known that a number of star players were part of Juve in the past. The likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, Lilian Thuram, Filippo Inzaghi, Pavel Nedved and David Trezeguet all played for Juventus, whilst legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has yet to retire. Juve were stripped two domestic trophies during the “Calciopoli” scandal, but despite being relegated to Serie B, the club quickly brought glory days back to Turin. The Bianconeri used to play their home games at Stadio delle Alpi, but nowadays they welcome their rivals at Juventus Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 41,475. La Vechhia Signora (The Old Lady) is yet another nickname of the club. Juve’s biggest rivals are Torino and the two local rivals take on each other in the Turin derby.
