Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on Stadio Olimpico when Roma and Lazio face each other in the Rome derby. Roma aim to keep their hopes of winning Scudetto alive, whilst the Biancocelesti are eager to cement their spot in top five. Both teams are likely to go for a win in Sunday’s football match and we predict that fans will see a real football festival in the “Eternal City”. Roma suffered elimination in the Europa League knockout stages, meaning that they will be fully focused on the national championship in the season finale. Lazio impressed in a 6-2 win over Palermo at the weekend and, taking everything into account, a high-scoring affair appears on the cards. When the two teams met at Stadio Olimpico in Coppa Italia earlier in April Roma recorded a 3-2 win over Lazio, but we believe that the two teams will share the spoils this time out.
Highlighted Player (Maicon):
Maicon Douglas Sisenando was born in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil on 26 July, 1981. The powerful full back started his senior career at Cruzeiro and in 2004 he moved to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco. After making 58 league appearances for les Rouges et Blancs he signed a five-year contract with Inter in 2006 and he won four Serie A trophies with the Nerazzurri. In the 2009/2010 he participated in the Champions League final and he helped the Italian outfit beat Bayern Munich in the title game. On 31 August, 2012 Maicon moved to England, signing a deal with Manchester City, but he made no more than nine league appearances for the Citizens in the 2012/2013 season. On 18 July, 2013 the Brazilian footballer returned to Italy as Man City allowed him to join AS Roma on a free transfer. He made 28 appearances for the Giallorossi in the 2013/2014 Serie A campaign, with the capital club finishing the season in second place in the standings.
