Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on Stadio Olimpico when Roma and Lazio square off against each other in the Derby della Capitale. Roma are on a four-game winning run in the Serie A ahead of Saturday’s football match and a win over their bitter local rivals would see them keep their hopes of winning Scudetto alive. Summer signing Gerson scored a brace in a 4-2 win over Fiorentina before the international break, thus Lazio defenders should have the pacey winger at bay. The Giallorossi are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the Rome derby, but beating the high-flying Biancocelesti is easier said than done. Lazio are after their tenth consecutive win in all competitions and, taking everything into account, a lively contest appears on the cards. Ciro Immobile is enjoying yet another successful season and the team’s top scorer is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line.
Highlighted Player (Daniele De Rossi):
Daniele De Rossi is one of the most impressive products of Roma’s youth academy. De Rossi played as a striker at the start of his career, but he has since developed into one of world’s leading holding midfielders. The Roma midfielder won the 2006 FIFA World Cup with Italy as they defeated France in the title game. De Rossi is well known for his tackling, vision, brilliant passing and awareness and he is capable of reading the game. The Italian footballer made 24 appearances for Roma in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign and he represented Italy at the 2016 European Championship finals. However, the Azzurri failed to record a good result at the tournament in France as they were beaten by Germany in the quarter-finals.
