Our football match prediction:
Roma impressed in the opening match of the season, with the capital club rolling over Udinese at their Stadio Olimpico (4-0). However, the Romans failed to eliminate Porto in the Champions League qualifiers, meaning that they will be fully focused on the national championship this season. Roma are a real force to be reckoned with at home and despite the fact that Sampdoria head into the game following back-to-back wins over Empoli and Atalanta, we predict that the Giallorossi are going to pick up all three points from Sunday’s football match in the “Eternal City”. Edin Dzeko is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts against Sampdoria and the Bosnian international should prove a handful for the opposition defenders. Anyhow, Roma need to keep on winning if they are to stay in the race for the title and, no doubt, Luciano Spalletti’s troops are capable of beating La Samp on home soil.
Highlighted Player (Iturbe):
Juan Iturbe is one of the rising stars of Paraguay football and is often dubbed the “new Lionel Messi”. The 22-year-old versatile professional plays as a winger as well as a forward. He currently plays for English club Bournemouth on loan from Italian club AS Roma. From a young age, Iturbe was earmarked for greater things and made his senior debut at the age of 16. In 2011 he joined Porto after signing his first professional contract but couldn’t settle in the first-team squad. Iturbe joined River Plate on a six-month loan and then made his move to Italy with Verona. Within weeks after joining Verona, Roma announced the signing of Iturbe. He continued to impress and showed flashes of brilliance but lacked consistency. Iturbe had a chance to represent Argentina and Paraguay and fluctuated his decision before finally deciding to stick with Paraguay. He made his debut with the Paraguayan national team in March 2016.
