Our football match prediction:
While Roma officials worked hard to reinforce the squad over the summer, we cannot really say they have done an excellent job so far, since they did fail to prevent Miralem Pjanic from joining league rivals Juventus, while there were no world-class signings at Stadio Olimpico. The good news is that both Radja Nainggolan and Mohamed Salah remained, and with several decent defensive signings, the Giallorossi have some reason for optimism. Roma have looked pretty good in pre-season, with Edin Dzeko rediscovering his scoring touch and Francesco Totti proving he can still mix it up with the best of them, so we predict they will see off average Udinese side in their opening Serie A game. The Zebrette have stayed without Bruno Fernandes, Nico Lopez, Piotr Zielinski and few more squad players, and the Coppa Italia loss to minnows Spezia is enough to suggest they will need some time to hit the ground running.
