Our football match prediction:
Lazio will be aiming to build on a hard-fought win over Udinese when they take on Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. The capital club are eyeing a place in the Champions League and we predict that the visitors will adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s football game against the Rossoblu. The Biancocelesti have been in a fine form of late and seeing that the hosts are on a six-game winless run in the league, we are tempted to put our money on Simone Inzaghi’s troops. Ciro Immobile scored the winner against Udinese, meaning that the opposition back-line should have him at bay. Bologna suffered a heavy 7-1 loss to Napoli on home soil in February and, taking everything into account, they are unlikely to make life difficult for Lazio on Matchday 27. You should bear in mind that it has been five years since the Rossoblu recorded their last win over the Biancocelesti in the national championship.
Highlighted Player (Erick Pulgar):
Erick Pulgar is a Chilean international who started his senior career at Deportes Antofagasta. Pulgar is a 186-cm-tall midfielder, who is capable of playing as a centre back as well and he is well known for his speed. After making 38 league appearances for the club he joined fellow Chilean outfit Universidad Catolica in 2014. The deal was confirmed on 28 June, 2014 and the Chilean defender joined los Cruzados for a fee of $ 500 000. In 2015 he decided to move to Europe and he signed a contract with Bologna for an undisclosed fee. The deal was sealed on 20 August. Erick Pulgar represented Chile at the 2016 Copa America, but he made no more than one appearance for La Roja at the tournament in USA. He came on as a substitute to replace injured midfielder Pablo Hernandez in a 2-0 win over Colombia. It is well known that Chile won the 2016 Copa America, beating star-studded Argentina in the title game.
Highlighted Team (Lazio Roma):
Lazio are an Italian football club based in Rome. Lazio were founded in 1900 and they compete in the Serie A. The Biancocelesti (The White and Sky Blues) have won two Serie A trophies (1973/1974, 1999/2000), while lifting six Coppa Italia titles. The capital club play their home games at Stadio Olimpico and Roma are regarded as Lazio’s main rivals. The two teams face each other in the Derby della Capitale and it is considered the fiercest inter-city derby in Italy. Lazio won UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999, with the team beating Mallorca in the title game. The same year they managed to clinch the UEFA Super Cup trophy as they outplayed English giants Manchester United at Stade Louis II, Monaco. The likes of Pavel Nedved, Giuseppe Favalli, Juan Sebastian Veron, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Roberto Mancini, Giuseppe Signori, Miroslav Klose and Simone Inzaghi are notable footballers who played for Lazio in the past.
