Our football match prediction:
As expected, Cagliari suffered a 3-1 loss to Napoli at Stadio San Paolo on Matchday 35, but the team managed to secure yet another Serie A survival and nothing else matters. The Rossoblu sit in 13th place in the standings ahead of the visit of Empoli, but they could finish the season in the top half of the table. Cagliari are only five points behind tenth-placed Sampdoria with five matches to go until the end of the season and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s football match against Empoli. The Azzurri are sitting in the danger zone ahead of the trip to Sardinia, but they recorded a very important 3-1 win over Bologna at the weekend. Empoli are four points clear of the relegation zone at the moment, meaning that they would not be too disappointed with one point from the Cagliari game.
