Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Cagliari will be hosting Parma at the Sardegna Arena on Saturday afternoon. After five games without a win the home side will want to get their first victory of the new year. Parma are three places above Cagliari in the table, in 12th place but with eight points more. Their form is also sliding after three games without a win. Cagliari has won only once at home in the last five games and only three times in the last ten home matches. The last two defeats at home were to Atalanta, in the Coppa Italia and in the league. Parma are unbeaten away from home in the last three matches, winning in Fiorentina and Udine and drawing 3:3 against Juventus in Torino. Over the last ten matches away, they have won five. Parma won 2:0 back in September, in their first match of the season. Cagliari players have struggled to score this year which might prove a problem. We predict a draw.

Highlighted Player (Lucas Castro):

Lucas Castro was born in La Plata, Argentina on 9 April, 1989. He played for his home-town club Gimnasia La Plata at the start of his senior career and the pacey winger made 68 league appearances for los Triperos from 2008 to 2011. Racing Club signed him for the 2011/2012 season and he scored five goals in 26 appearances for the club in the national championship.
In 2012 he decided to move to Europe as he signed a five-year deal with Serie A side Catania for a fee of €2.5 million. The Argentine footballer scored 13 goals for the Sicilian outfit from 2012 to 2015 and on 29 June, 2016 he joined fellow Serie A side Chievo.
Lucas Castro received Argentina call-up in 2011 for a friendly against Brazil, but he did not come from the bench. Castro is a winger, but he is capable of playing as a central midfielder. His market value on 15 July, 2016 was €6 million.
Highlighted Team (Parma):

Founded in 1913, Parma is considered one of the most famous Italian clubs. The Gialloblu play home games in white shirts with a dark blue cross and dark blue shorts. Speaking of their away colours, Parma footballers wear yellow-blue kits on the travels. Parma have yet to win the Serie A trophy, but they did well to lift the UEFA Cup trophy on two occasions (1994/1995, 1998/1999).
To make things even better for Parma fans, the Gialloblu won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1992/1993 season, with the team beating Royal Antwerp in the title game 3-1. A number of top-class footballers played for Parma in the past: Hernan Crespo, Roberto Mancini, Juan Veron, Roberto Mancini, Dino Baggio, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Buffon.
The Gialloblu welcome their rivals at Stadio Ennio Tardini, which was opened in 1923. The venue can hold up to 27,906 spectators. Bologna are considered Parma’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
