Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Wednesday’s football game at Sardegna Arena pits together Cagliari and Sampdoria, the two teams who have entirely different ambitions for the 2018/2019 Serie A campaign. Cagliari aim to secure yet another Serie A survival, whilst Sampdoria are eager to book their place in European competitions. The Rososblu head into the midweek fixture following a 2-0 loss to Parma, whereas La Samp are eager to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Inter. Sampdoria were more than unfortunate not to grab something from the Inter game as the Nerazzurri scored the winner in the stoppage time, but Marco Giampaolo’s troops are definitely capable of holding Cagliari to a draw in Sardinia. In their last meeting at Sardegna Arena in the Italian top flight the two teams shared the spoils and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.
