Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Chievo and Frosinone face each other at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in the relegation six-pointer. Chievo did well to hold Inter to a 1-1 draw at the weekend, but they suffered a 2-0 loss to Sampdoria in Genoa in their last league match. The Mussi Volanti remained in the ultimate position in the Serie A standings, but they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. The rock-bottom side are likely to fight tooth and nail against Frosinone, but the visitors are hungry for a win as well. The Canarini head into Saturday’s football game following a goalless draw with Milan in front of home fans, but seeing that their away record is anything but good, we are tempted to put our money on Chievo, who are desperate to record their first win of the season.

Highlighted Player (Valter Birsa):

After making just one appearance for Primorje in the 2003/2004 campaign, Valter Birsa joined Gorica at the age of 17. He impressed with the Slovenian outfit, scoring 26 goals in 61 league matches and, as a result, earned a lucrative move to Sochaux.
The left-footed midfielder, who plays as a winger as well, did not score too many goals for the French outfit (8), but it has to be noted that he was sent on loan to Auxerre (in 2009) before his contract expired. Despite being on Liverpool’s radar, Birsa joined Genoa on 2 February 2011 and he made nine league appearances for the Rossoblu in the 2011/2012 Serie A campaign.
After ending his loan spell with Torino in 2013 he joined Italian giants Milan, in what was a swap deal for Luca Antonini, who moved to Genoa. Valter Birsa has 12 caps for Slovenia U21 and he represented the Slovenian national team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He scored his first goal for Slovenia on 9 September, 2009 against Poland.
Highlighted Team (Frosinone):

Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
