Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Chievo, after they were docked three points by the Italian football federation, have looked unable to get some points and move back into the positive; they are still at -1. Sassuolo haven’t been able to win in the last four matches. These two teams are meeting on Sunday at the Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in Verona. Chievo have now lost six straight games and are dead last in the table. Not only that, but they have also conceded the most goals out of all the teams in the Scudetto. Sassuolo are in 9th place and are one of the five teams with 15 points from 5th to 10th. In their last six matches they have two wins, two defeats and two draws including the two in their last two matches, a goalless draw against Sampdoria away and a 2:2 draw with Bologna at home. Also, Sassuolo have only won one game away from home this year, so again, Chievo has a chance, but the question is whether they can lift themselves up to get at least a point.

Highlighted Player (Valter Birsa):

After making just one appearance for Primorje in the 2003/2004 campaign, Valter Birsa joined Gorica at the age of 17. He impressed with the Slovenian outfit, scoring 26 goals in 61 league matches and, as a result, earned a lucrative move to Sochaux.
The left-footed midfielder, who plays as a winger as well, did not score too many goals for the French outfit (8), but it has to be noted that he was sent on loan to Auxerre (in 2009) before his contract expired. Despite being on Liverpool’s radar, Birsa joined Genoa on 2 February 2011 and he made nine league appearances for the Rossoblu in the 2011/2012 Serie A campaign.
