Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Parma, Sampdoria will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Empoli at Stadio Carlo Castellani on Matchday 17. Fabio Quagliarella is not getting any older and all eyes will be on the experienced attacker when the two teams face each other in the commune of Florence. La Samp have been showing signs of improvement of late, but they continue with their habit of producing splendid performances at home, while struggling on the travels. The Azzurri, on the other hand, suffered a 3-1 loss to Fiorentina in the local derby at the weekend and, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from Saturday’s football match against Sampdoria. A close encounter is on the cards and, taking everything into account, we predict that the two teams are going to share the spoils at Stadio Carlo Castellani.
