Our football match prediction:
After securing progress to the Europa League knockout stages by defeating Qarabag on the road, Fiorentina will be hoping to continue their ascend in the Serie A standings when they face struggling Sassuolo. As that usually happens, Viola have been blowing hot and cold in the opening exchanges, although they are still relatively close to top 3 positions. The home game against out-of-sorts Sassuolo will look like a good opportunity to close the gap behind their rivals for Champions League positions and we predict that Fiorentina will succeed in their quest. Their opponents clearly struggled to cope with the demands of Europa League football, and despite showing improvement to defeat Empoli, we don’t think they will be able to match Viola on Monday. In their last meeting at Stadio Artemio Franchi Fiorentina emerged triumphant and we believe that history will repeat itself. A man to watch in the home team will be Federico Bernardeschi, who has been in thrilling form of late.
