Our football match prediction:
Genoa suffered a dip in form. Following a hard-fought win over Fiorentina in a postponed fixture the Rossobly suffered a shocking 4-3 loss to Palermo at their Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris and, to make things even worse for the fans, Ivan Juric’s men were beaten by Torino at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in their last game in 2016. Genoa are desperate to make amends for the back-to-back losses, but they face a difficult task in Sunday’s football match against Roma. The Giallorossi sit in second place in the Serie A standings and a win over Genoa would see them keep their hopes of winning Scudetto alive. The capital club are after their only fourth away win of the season, but we predict that they are going to defeats the out-of-sorts Genoa on Matchday 19. Edin Dzeko has netted 13 goals in the Serie A to date, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay.
Highlighted Player (Antonio Cassano):
Antonio Cassano is a legendary Italian footballer who played for a number of Serie A teams in the past. The “Fanantonio” used to play for the likes of Bari, Roma, Milan, Inter and Parma in the past and he currently plays for Sampdoria. The experience attacker, who was born on 12 July, 1982 has 39 caps for Italy and he represented the Azzurri at Euro 2004. Italy won the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, but Cassano was left out of the squad following a poor season with Real Madrid. The Italian ace made 19 league appearances for los Blancos, scoring two goals for the club between 2006 and 2008. Antonio Cassano is a striker, but he is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder as well. During his spell with Milan he was suffering from ischemic-based cerebral damage in 2011, but he eventually recovered from the illness. He returned to action on 25 April, 2012 against Genoa and he found the net on his return.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma are a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football. The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. “The Prince of Rome” made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
