Our match prediction:
Chievo took all three points in their rather dull meeting with Genoa. Gian Piero Gasperini’s charges recorded their third defeat in five games, and are now only five points clear of the relegation zone with the same number of points as their city rivals, Sampdoria. However, il Grifone have been showing somewhat better displays on home soil in recent matches, boasting a 2-2-0 record since mid-January, mostly thanks to their tight defense that conceded only once in the spell. Their attack, on the other hand, struggle in front of opposition goals of late, especially without their star forward Leonardo Pavoletti (10), who is injured. Empoli suffered their third successive Serie A loss, this time against high-flying Roma, which resulted in them dropping out of the top-half in the table. Although the Azzurri are performing well on their travels this term, we will back the home team, while predicting a real nail-bitter.
