Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Genoa is welcoming Frosinone at the Comunale Luigi Ferraris Stadium early afternoon on Sunday. Genoa are unbeaten in the league in the last five matches, their last defeat coming from AC Milan in January. Since then, they have defeated Empoli and Lazio but were held by Sassuolo, Bologna and Chievo in the last round. They don’t seem to finish games at home as five of the last ten were draws. They lost three times, including the surprise loss in the Cup to a lower league team. Frosinone did manage to win two out of their last three away games both without conceding. Those two wins were their only triumphs in the last four months in the league. They have lost a match more than last placed Chievo and have the worst defence in the Scudetto, allowing 49 goals so far this year. That, coupled with Genoa’s good form of late, should be enough for a home win.

Highlighted Player (Lisandro Lopez):

Lisandro Lopez is an Argentine defender who joined Portugal giants Benfica in 2013 on a five-year deal from the Argentine side Arsenal de Sarandi. Once considered a huge prospect, Lisandro Lopez was linked with a move to Arsenal, AC Milan and Malaga before his move to Portugal.
The 26-year-old defender however failed to live up to the expectations so far with the Aguias having made only 23 Primeira Liga appearances in three years with the Portugal giants. Lisandro Lopez was initially loaned out to Spanish La Liga side Getafe where he played 27 games during the 2013-14 season.
Brought back on a promise of first-team football, Lopez did not quite manage to establish himself as a first-team regular as he was sparingly used during the previous two seasons in Portugal. The Argentine defender did play some part in Benfica’s European challenges having managed 4 Champions League appearances so far.
Highlighted Team (Frosinone):

Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
