Our football match prediction:
Genoa and Sampdoria, the two fierce local rivals, square off against each other in the Derby della Lanterna on day 11 of the new Serie A campaign. Genoa do not seem to be on top of their game ahead of the local derby and they head into Saturday’s football match following back-to-back losses to the likes of Napoli and SPAL. The Rossoblu are eager to escape the relegation zone and, as always, they will fight tooth and nail against La Samp. Marco Giampaolo’s men, on the other hand, rolled over Chievo 4-1 in their last league match and it has to be noted that they emerged triumphant in each of their previous five games at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris. Sampdoria have been in a much better form of late than Genoa and we predict that the “away team” will emerge triumphant in the Derby della Lanterna.
