Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Genoa and Sampdoria, the two bitter local rivals, face each other at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in the Derby della Lanterna. Genoa are on a three-game losing run in the Serie A ahead of the local derby and they are surely desperate to grab something from Sunday’s football match. The Rossoblu are likely to leave their hearts on the field, but seeing that they failed to win previous six league fixtures, we are not tempted to put our money on Ivan Juric’s troops. La Samp, on the other hand, suffered a loss in each of their previous three league games, but that counts nothing when the derby day comes. Both sides are likely to go for a win in the Derby della Lanterna and we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score in what of the biggest derbies in Italy.

Highlighted Player (Lisandro Lopez):

Lisandro Lopez is an Argentine defender who joined Portugal giants Benfica in 2013 on a five-year deal from the Argentine side Arsenal de Sarandi. Once considered a huge prospect, Lisandro Lopez was linked with a move to Arsenal, AC Milan and Malaga before his move to Portugal.
The 26-year-old defender however failed to live up to the expectations so far with the Aguias having made only 23 Primeira Liga appearances in three years with the Portugal giants. Lisandro Lopez was initially loaned out to Spanish La Liga side Getafe where he played 27 games during the 2013-14 season.
Brought back on a promise of first-team football, Lopez did not quite manage to establish himself as a first-team regular as he was sparingly used during the previous two seasons in Portugal. The Argentine defender did play some part in Benfica’s European challenges having managed 4 Champions League appearances so far.
Highlighted Team (Sampdoria):

Sampdoria is an Italian football club from Genoa which is currently playing in the highest Italian football division: the Serie A. The club colours of Sampdoria are blue and white and is known under the nickname Blucerchiati. Sampdoria host it’s home games in the Stadio Luigi Ferraris which is located in Genua. Interesting detail is that their biggest city rival Genoa is playing their home games in Stadio Luigi Ferraris as well.
In the past Sampdoria was playing in the Serie B and Serie A on and off. After the big successes in the end of the eighties the club became a stable team in the Serie A. Sampdoria managed to win the Scudetto once in 1991, the Coppa Italia 4 times in 1985, 1988, 1989 and 1994 and the Europe Cup II in 1990.
There are a lot of important players in football history that played for Sampdoria such as: Seedorf, Gullit, Mancini, Poli, Vieri, Zenga, Falcone, Karembeu, Vialli, Klinsmann and Veron.
