Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Genoa and Roma go head to head in a highly-anticipated game at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on day 7 of the new Serie A campaign. The Rossoblu did well to come from behind to share the spoils with Sampdoria in the Derby della Lanterna, but they remained in the danger zone. Genoa aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, but keep in mind that the likes of Cassata, Shomurodov, Sturaro, and Zappacosta are all likely to miss the Roma game with injury.
The Giallorossi, on the other hand, did well to beat Fiorentina 2-0 at home ground at the weekend, with the team moving a little closer to the Europa League berth. The likes of Pastore, Zaniolo, and Santon remain in the recovery room, but seeing that key players should start against Genoa, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Edin Dzeko and Co. this time out.
Highlighted Player (Lukas Lerager):
Lukas Lerager is a Denmark international who plays for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux as a midfielder. Lerager began his senior career at AB Copenhagen and he made 48 appearances in the league for the capital club from 2010 to 2013. In 2013 he signed for a fellow Danish side Viborg and, after playing 67 league games for the Greens, he joined Belgian team Zulte Waregem.
In the summer of 2017 Lukas Lerager moved to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, signing a four-year deal with les Girondins. Speaking of his international career, the right-footed midfielder has one cap for Denmark U21 team and he made his senior debut for the Denmark national team on June 6, 2016 in a 1-1 draw with Germany.
Lerager came as a substitute in the 65th minute of the match, replacing Tottenham Hotspur ace Christian Eriksen. His main position is central midfielder, but he is often used as a left or right midfielder.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma is a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football.
The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. The Prince of Rom made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
