Our football match prediction:
Despite taking the lead in Wednesday’s football match against Napoli, Lazio eventually suffered a heartbreaking 3-1 loss to Maurizio Sarri’s men at their Stadio Olimpico. The Biancocelesti aim to return to winning ways and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s football game against Hellas Verona. The capital club aim to regain their spot in top four, but Simone Inzaghi’s men will have to be at their sharpest in the clash against the Mastini if they are to get back on course. A man to watch in the away team will be Ciro Immobile, who has been in a fine form at the start of the season. Verona failed to score in previous four league fixtures and we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts. It has to be noted that the Biancocelesti are after their fourth consecutive win over the Mastini in the Serie A.
Highlighted Player (Martin Caceres):
Martin Caceres is a widely travelled and well known Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Juventus. Primarily a central defender, Caceres is known for his tenacity, pace, strength, tackling and aerial ability. He is versatile and can operate as full-back on either sides too. Caceres started his career at Defensor Sporting and became a regular at a very young age. In 2007, he went to Spanish side Villarreal but never officially appeared for them. He then was snapped up by Barcelona in 2008 for a reported transfer fee of € 16.5 million. But his only season at the Camp Nou was marred with injuries and moved to Juventus in 2012 via a short stop at Sevilla. Caceres made his full senior team debut in 2007 and was a successful member of the team that won the 2011 Copa America. He also played at the 2014 World Cup and has 68 national caps to his credit.
Highlighted Team (Lazio Roma):
Lazio are an Italian football club based in Rome. Lazio were founded in 1900 and they compete in the Serie A. The Biancocelesti (The White and Sky Blues) have won two Serie A trophies (1973/1974, 1999/2000), while lifting six Coppa Italia titles. The capital club play their home games at Stadio Olimpico and Roma are regarded as Lazio’s main rivals. The two teams face each other in the Derby della Capitale and it is considered the fiercest inter-city derby in Italy. Lazio won UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999, with the team beating Mallorca in the title game. The same year they managed to clinch the UEFA Super Cup trophy as they outplayed English giants Manchester United at Stade Louis II, Monaco. The likes of Pavel Nedved, Giuseppe Favalli, Juan Sebastian Veron, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Roberto Mancini, Giuseppe Signori, Miroslav Klose and Simone Inzaghi are notable footballers who played for Lazio in the past.
