Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Inter will be looking to build on back-to-back wins over the likes of Sampdoria and Fiorentina when they host Cagliari at their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Inter obviously have big ambitions for the 2018/2019 Serie A campaign and they need to win matches against Cagliari and fellow bottom-table sides if they are to stay in the race for Scudetto. The Nerazzurri are a real force to be reckoned with at home and seeing that the Rossoblu suffered a 2-0 loss to Parma in their last away game in the national championship, home win should be considered. The Sardinians failed to score in previous two league fixtures, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on Luciano Spalletti’s troops. You should bear in mind that Inter emerged triumphant in each of their previous three meetings in the Italian top flight.

Highlighted Player (Sime Vrsaljko):

Born in Zadar on 10th January 1994, Sime Vrsaljko is one of the most talented footballers from Croatia’s new generation, who has already made a name for himself in Italian Serie A and Europe. The right-sided defender came through Dinamo Zagreb’s famous youth school and he earned plenty of top flight experience at a very young age before moving to Italy in 2013.
After spending a year at Genoa, Vrsaljko signed for Sassuolo with a view of moving to Juventus in the future, although he has yet to realise a big club move. Capable of operating on either side of defence, Vrsaljko has emerged as one of league’s top full-backs and it is only a matter of time before he joins a top European club.
Having represented Croatia at various youth levels, the defender made his senior debut in 2011 and has since come very close to nailing down a regular starting berth. Vrsaljko has a bright future in the game and he will be present at international stage in years to come.
Highlighted Team (Cagliari):

Cagliari are a professional football club based in Cagliari, Sardinia. I Rossoblu (The Red and Blues) compete in Italian Serie A and the club’s biggest success came in 1970, when they won the national championship.
Cagliari finished the season in top position in the standings, four points clear of Juventus and it has to be noted that Luigi Riva led Cagliari to their first Serie A trophy.
I Rossoblu welcome their rivals at Stadio Sant’Elia and the capacity of the stadium is 16,000. In the 1993/1994 season Cagliari made it to the UEFA Cup semis, with the team suffering a loss to fellow Italian club Inter in the two-legged tie.
Giuseppe Pancaro helped Cagliari record a 3-2 win over Inter in the first leg, but I Rossoblu were hammered by the Nerazzurri in the second leg (3-0). Palermo are regarded as Cagliari’s main rivals and the two teams square off against each other in the Derby delle Isole.
