Our football match prediction:
Inter will be aiming to build on a 3-0 win over Bologna when they host Parma at their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday afternoon. The Nerazzurri have been scoring goals for fun at the start of the season and there is every chance they will go all guns blazing at the newcomer on Matchday 4. Mauro Icardi wants to continue where he left last season and, no doubt, he will give 100% to open his goal-scoring account this weekend. Inter are a real force to be reckoned with at home and considering that the newcomers have been struggling at the back at the start of the season, we are tempted to put our money on the Nerazzurri. Yet another man to watch in the home team will be Ivan Perisic, who impressed at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals, helping Croatia make it to the final of the showpiece tournament.
Highlighted Player (Miranda):
Miranda is a Brazilian central defender who plays for Internazionale in Serie A. He began his career at the Brazilian club Coritiba and within a year moved to French club Sochaux. But after failing to establish himself even there, he was soon back in Brazil with Sao Paulo. It was only during the five years at Sao Paulo that Miranda earned his name as a tough centre back. In 2011, he made a move to Atletico Madrid and was a key member of Diego Simeone’s hard-tackling defensive unit. Miranda’s tenure at Atletico was laced with many titles including La Liga and UEFA Europa League. He made his full international debut for Brazil in 2009 and was a key member of the squad that won the Confederations Cup that year. Miranda represented Brazil only 27 times so far but has established himself as a regular for new coach Dunga, after replacing Thiago Silva.
Highlighted Team (Parma):
Founded in 1913, Parma are considered one of the most famous Italian clubs. The Gialloblu play home games in white shirts with a dark blue cross and dark blue shorts. Speaking of their away colours, Parma footballers wear yellow-blue kits on the travels. Parma have yet to win the Serie A trophy, but they did well to lift the UEFA Cup trophy on two occasions (1994/1995, 1998/1999). To make things even better for Parma fans, the Gialloblu won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1992/1993 season, with the team beating Royal Antwerp in the title game 3-1. A number of top-class footballers played for Parma in the past: Hernan Crespo, Roberto Mancini, Juan Veron, Roberto Mancini, Dino Baggio, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Buffon. The Gialloblu welcome their rivals at Stadio Ennio Tardini, which was opened in 1923. The venue can hold up to 27,906 spectators. Bologna are considered Parma’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
