Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Both Lazio and Genoa have won their last respective games but Genoa has played one less game as one of the games from August was postponed. Lazio have began the 2018/19 campaign with two defeats against Juventus and Napoli but have since recovered and managed to score two wins against the bottom three side Frosinone and the newly promoted Serie B champions, Empoli. Both were close wins. Genoa are in 7th place in the table with two wins out of three games, while Lazio are 8th with the same number of points from four games played. These two sides have met 23 times before; genoa won 10 times and Lazio nine. Last year Lazio finished fifth in the Scudetto and will also be playing in the Europa League this season. Genoa might look for a chance there, if the Romans have to mix their starting eleven players to account for the extra games. A draw is likely.
