Our football match prediction:
Napoli have been scoring goals for fun in warm-up games. The Neapolitans scored 3+ goals in each of their last four friendly matches and many people believe that Gonzalo Higuain, who joined Juventus, is not going to be sorely missed in the 2016/2017 Serie A campaign. The Partenopei take on Pescara in the opening match of the season and the likes of Mertens, Hamsik and new signing GIaccherini are widely expected to make life difficult for the opposition defenders. Pescara, on the other hand, are eager to record a good result on their return to the Italian top flight, but beating star-studded Napoli is easier said than done. In previous seven meetings between Pescara and Napoli the Partenopei emerged triumphant and, taking everything into account, the Stadio San Paolo outfit are going to pick up all three points from Sunday’s football game at Stadio Adriatico-Giovanni Cornacchia.
Highlighted Player (Hysaj):
Born on 2nd February 1994, Elseid Hysaj is an Albanian defender who has spent his entire professional career in Italian Serie A and he is predicted a bright future in the game. Empoli scouts spotted his talent while he was playing for Shodra youth sides, and after three years in the youth team, the full-back was promoted to the first team set up. Hysaj performed really well in his first three years as a first team regular, helping the Azzurri gain promotion to the top fight in the process. One season in Serie A proved enough for the right-sided defender to secure a big club move as he joined Napoli in the summer of 2015 and immediately nailed down a regular starting berth. Capable of doing dirty defensive work as well as making forward runs, Hysaj is a modern full-back, who is destined for big things. The talented footballer is already a key member of the Albania national team and he will represent the country at the Euro 2016 finals.
Highlighted Team (Pescara):
Pescara are an Italian football club that play in the Serie A. The Delfini (The Dolphins) returned to the Italian top flight at the end of the 2015/2016 season and it has to be noted that they competed in six seasons in the elite division (1977–78, 1979–80, 1987–88, 1988–89, 1992–93, 2012–13). Pescara play their home matches at Stadio Adriatico, the stadium that was opened in 1955 and renovated in 2009. The club’s main rivals are Lazio and Verona, but the likes of Chieti, Virtus and L’Aquila are considered Pescara’s bitter rivals as well. Vicenza and Messina are regarded as Gemellaggi (Twinning) with Pescara. Delfini have yet to win the Serie A trophy, but it has to be noted that they won the Serie B twice (1986/1987, 2011/2012). The colour of Pescara’s home kit is white and blue, while the team’s away kit is dark blue.
