Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Following back-to-back defeats to the likes of Roma and Atalanta, Sassuolo did well to hold Inter to a goalless draw at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in their last league match. The Neroverdi gave fans some cheer, but they remained in the bottom half of the Serie A standings. Sassuolo aim to put an end to their five-game winless run in all competitions and seeing that Cagliari are not regarded as good travelers, home win should be considered. The Rossoblu failed to win previous eight away games in the Italian elite division and we are positive that they are going to return home empty-handed from the trip to Reggio nell’Emilia. Sassuolo are undefeated in previous four meetings with Cagliari in the Italian top flight, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the hosts in this one.

Highlighted Player (Francesco Magnanelli):

Francesco Magnanelli is a Sassuolo midfielder, who was born on 12 November, 1984. His main position is defensive midfield, but he plays as a central midfielder as well. Magnanelli began his senior career at Gubbio and he played for the club in lower leagues from 2000 to 2002.
He was part of Chievo during the 2002/2003 season, but he did not see any game action during his spelt with the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi outfit. The Italian footballer joined Fiorentina in 2003 and he moved to Sangiovannesse one year later. After making seven league appearances for the club, Francesco Magnanelli made probably the best decision of his career when he signed a contract with Sassuolo in June 2015.
He has been playing for the Neroverdi on regular basis and he scored one goal in 34 appearances for the club in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign. His contract with Sassuolo expires on 30 June, 2017.
Highlighted Team (Cagliari):

Cagliari are a professional football club based in Cagliari, Sardinia. I Rossoblu (The Red and Blues) compete in Italian Serie A and the club’s biggest success came in 1970, when they won the national championship.
Cagliari finished the season in top position in the standings, four points clear of Juventus and it has to be noted that Luigi Riva led Cagliari to their first Serie A trophy.
I Rossoblu welcome their rivals at Stadio Sant’Elia and the capacity of the stadium is 16,000. In the 1993/1994 season Cagliari made it to the UEFA Cup semis, with the team suffering a loss to fellow Italian club Inter in the two-legged tie.
Giuseppe Pancaro helped Cagliari record a 3-2 win over Inter in the first leg, but I Rossoblu were hammered by the Nerazzurri in the second leg (3-0). Palermo are regarded as Cagliari’s main rivals and the two teams square off against each other in the Derby delle Isole.
