Our football match prediction:
Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino will host Sunday’s football match between Torino and Roma. Il Toro aim to put an end to their three-game winless run in the national championship, but they will have a mountain to climb in the game against Roma. Sinisa Mihajlovic’s troops have been scoring goals for fun in the Italian top flight this season and we predict that they are going to find the net in Sunday’s showdown. The Giallorossi aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Napoli and seeing that they are eager to rejoin the race for Scudetto, the visitors are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino clash as well. Both sides are determined to pick up all three points from the match and, taking everything into account, a real football festival appears on the cards. In their last meeting in Turin Il Toro recorded a 3-2 win over the capital club.
Highlighted Player (Nicolas Burdisso):
Nicolas Burdisso is an Argentine defender who plays for Italian side Genoa. Burdisso began his senior career at Boca Juniors and he made 102 league appearances for the Argentine giants between 1999 and 2004. The 183-cm-tall footballer then moved to Europe as he signed a four-year contract with Inter in 2004. In 2009he joined fellow Serie A club Roma on loan and on 28 August, 2010 he signed a permanent deal with the capital club. Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma are a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football. The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. “The Prince of Rome” made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
