Our match prediction:
Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao square off against each other in yet another all-Spanish encounter in the Europa League quarter-finals. Los Sevillanos did well to record a 2-1 win over Athletic at San Mames Barria, meaning that they are with one foot in the semis. Unai Emery’s troops are after their third consecutive Europa League trophy, but they can’t afford any complacency in Thursday’s football match. We predict that Sevilla are going to adopt a cautious approach in the return leg and seeing that the Andalusian outfit have been impressive at home ground this season, we do not believe that the Lions are capable of overcoming the deficit at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Athletic Bilbao are not regarded as good travelers and it has been five years since they recorded their last win at “Pizjuan”. Taking everything into account, the two teams should share the spoils in the second leg.
