Our match prediction:
Villarreal will be looking to defend their slim lead (2-1) in the tie against Sparta Prague when the two teams square off against each other at Generali Arena in Prague. Cedric Bakambu scored a brace for the Yellow Submarine in the first leg and seeing that he found the net in a 2-0 win over Getafe at the weekend as well, there is every chance the opposition defenders will find it hard to contain the Nigerian striker. The Czechs need to adopt an attack-minded approach in the return leg, but beating the La Liga outfit (without conceding) is easier said than done. Marcelino’s troops have been impressive at the back this season and no doubt the visitors will rely on their rock-solid defence in Thursday’s football clash. Villarreal are on a three-game winning run ahead of the trip to Prague and we predict that the Spaniards will make it to the Europa League semis without any difficulties.
