Our prediction for this Switzerland Super League match:
Xamax will be aiming to make amends for an embarrassing 6-0 loss to St. Gallen when they take on Lugano on the last day of the season. Xamax have been struggling in the Swiss Super League after the coronavirus football break, and, as a result, they failed to secure the elite division survival. The rock-bottom side are low on spirits ahead of the visit of Lugano, and given their shaky defence, we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing something from the match.
The likes of Farine and Mulaj, who were substituted after 35 minutes in the 6-0 defeat to St. Gallen, are unlikely to feature against Lugano. The visitors, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-1 win over Servette, and given Xamax’s form in the season finale, anything but a routine away win will be a major surprise.
