Our prediction for this Taca de Portugal match:
A spot in the Taca da Portugal quarter-finals will be at stake when Marinhense and Rio Ave face each other at Estadio Municipal da Marinha Grande on Tuesday evening. The Campeonato de Portugal Prio side have been impressive at the back in the Portuguese Cup this term, with the team keeping a clean sheet in each of their first three games in the process.
The hosts are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence against Rio Ave, meaning that a low-scoring affair is on the cards in Marinha Grande. The Primeira Liga team, on the other hand, struggle in front of goal, and you should bear in mind that under 2.5 goals have been netted in each of their last nine league fixtures. It has to be noted that the two teams meet for the first time in a competitive game.
Highlighted Player (Nelson Monte):

Nelson Monte is a Portuguese footballer who played futsal at the beginning of his career. In 2008 he moved to famous Portuguese club Benfica, and four years later, he joined fellow Primeira Liga outfit Rio Ave to finish his development.
Nelson Monte has been playing for Rioavistas ever since, establishing himself as a first-team regular at the Estadio dos Arcos club. The Portuguese defender made his Primeira Liga debut on April 12, 2014, in a 2-1 loss to Olhanense.
Nelson Monte has 13 caps for the Portugal U19 team while making three appearances for the Portugal U20 team. His primary position is right-back, but he is capable of producing good performances at centre-back as well. Nelson Monte was born in Vila do Conde, Portugal, on July 30, 1995, and his preferred foot is right. The Rio Ave defender has yet to earn a call-up for the Portugal national team.
Highlighted Team (Rio Ave):

Nicknamed Rio Grande, Rio Ave are a Portuguese club that compete in Primeira Liga. Rio Ave were founded back in 1939 and they welcome their rivals at Estadio dos Arcos, the stadium which can hold up to 12,815 people.
The team’s home shirt is green with white stripes, whilst the colour of their shorts is green. Rio Ave wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. The club’s biggest success came in the 2014/2015 season when they represented Portugal in the Europa League group stages. Rio Ave finished the process in the last position in Group J, but they did well to record their first ever win in the competition, with the team beating Danish club Aalborg 2-0 at their Estadio do Rio Ave Futebol Clube.
Former Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao is considered one of the club’s most notable footballers. Manchester City first-choice goalkeeper Ederson played for Rio Ave in the past as well.
