Our prediction for this Turkey Super Lig match:
After playing out a 1-1 draw with Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig derby, Istanbul Basaksehir will be aiming to regain top position in the standings when they restart the season with a game against Alanyaspor. Okan Buruk’s troops are a real foce to be reckoned with at home, but you should bear in mind that there will be no spectators at Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu due to the fierce of coronavirus spread.
Seeing that influential attacker Enzo Crivelli has overcome his injury, we believe that bettors can find value in backing the home team. Alanyaspor are on a three-game winless run on the road, and, no doubt, spoiling Basaksehir’s party in Istanbul is easier said than done. In the first half of the season the two teams played out a goalless draw, and there is every chance one goal will separate the two sides this time out.
Highlighted Player (Martin Skrtel):

Martin Skrtel is without a doubt one of Slovakia’s most famous footballers and with over 80 appearances for the national team, he is also one of their most capped players. Following a bright start to his career at Trencin, the powerful defender secured a move to Zenit, where he would go on to spend next three and a half years.
But, it was the £6.5 million transfer to Liverpool in January 2008 that put him on the map and ensured he would be remembered by football fans everywhere. Known for his uncompromising style of play that often got him into trouble, Skrtel enjoyed some success at Anfield, and even though major titles eluded him and his teammates, the centre-back scored in the 2011/2012 League Cup final to help the Reds lift the coveted trophy.
The Slovakian defender has so far made over 240 Premier League appearances for one of England’s most famous clubs and he has also been a real rock at the back for the Slovakian national team. Skrtel has missed very few competitive matches for his country after making his debut back in 2004, and he started four fixtures at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Highlighted Team (Basaksehir):

Istanbul Basaksehir are one of the youngest clubs in Turkey. Founded in 1990, Istanbul Basaksehir play their home games at Fatih Terim Stadium, the venue that was opened in 2014. The Turkish club club have yet to win the national championship, but they did well to finish the 2016/2017 Super Lig campaign in second place in the standings.
As a result, Istanbul Basaksehir booked their place in the Champions League qualifiers and thanks to a win over Club Brugge in the two-legged tie the capital club set up a meeting with La Liga side Sevilla in the play-offs. Despite producing fine performances in the double-header against the star-studded Spanish side Istanbul Basaksehir eventually failed to make it to the Champions League group stages.
Nonetheless, the club will represent Turkey in the group stages of the Europa League in the 2017/2018 season. It has to be noted that the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Eljero Elia, Emre Belozoglu and Gael Clichy played for Istanbul Basaksehir in the 2017/2018 Champions League qualifiers.
